Mr Avi Agrawal

As a leading Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, and Head of the Breast Department at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Mr Agrawal carries out diagnostic fast track breast clinics and a full range of breast surgery, including oncoplastic breast cancer surgery, cosmetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction. He also undertakes treatment of soft tissue lumps, lipomas, cysts and skin cancer surgery. Mr Agrawal works alongside an excellent team of radiologists, mammographers, oncologists and breast care nurses to ensure his patients are given the best possible care and feel fully supported throughout their experience.

Mr Agrawal’s ethos is to treat patients as if they were a member of his family; everyone receives the same first-class care to achieve excellent outcomes and individualised care.

Mr Agrawal meets twice weekly in an MDT with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, breast care nurses to ensure that diagnostic and treatment pathways are optimised for each individual patient. Breast care nurses support clinic consultations and are there with patients from the beginning. Shared consultations can also be arranged if beneficial/required with input from another medical clinician/oncologist.

Mr. Agrawal is currently the lead surgical trainer for the oncoplastic fellowship program at Portsmouth, co-chairs the regional breast cancer network meetings for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and has been elected as a National Council Member and Trustee for British Association of Surgical Oncology.
